Germany has a very rich history. It has been involved in two world wars. After World War II was over, Germany was divided into West Germany and East Germany. West Germany chose Bonn as their capital, but East Germany fell into the Soviets hands and forced them into Communism. The city of Berlin was divided into East Berlin and West Berlin. In 1961 the Soviets then made the Berlin Wall to prevent the East Germans from fleeing to West Berlin. Finally in 1989 the Soviets tore the Berlin Wall down. Germany was once again unified and Berlin became the capital.
